IBCLC Lactation Consultants

Leaf is led  by an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).

An IBCLC lactation consultant is a health professional like a doctor, nurse, midwife, speech therapist or nutritionist who did a specialization in breastfeeding and lactation who got an official credential for it by the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners.

Did you know currently in Ghana there are just TWO registered IBCLC? 

Leaf is advocating for the IBCLC by lactation consultant profession in Ghana and across borders in Sub-Saharan Africa to build capacity for this beautiful profession to encourage a healthy start for every baby!
